An 80% refund on the cost of installing a home wallbox: everything you need to know before applying.
It is a contribution equal to 80% of the eligible costs for purchasing and installing a wallbox or other electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Private individuals can receive up to €1,500; for installations in the common areas of condominiums the limit is €8,000.
Individuals resident in Italy and condominiums can apply.
For the 2026 bonus, installation must be completed by 31 December 2026 (installations completed from 26 June 2026 are eligible).
The incentive also covers the following years: 2027-2029 for installations completed from 1 January to 31 December of each year, and 2030 from 1 January to 31 March.
The application is submitted by the customer, online, through the Invitalia platform, signing in with SPID, CIE or CNS and filling in the guided electronic form. The application window is open from 12:00 on 22 September 2026 until 12:00 on 31 January 2027, within the limits of available funds.
The funds allocated are €15 million for 2026, €15 million for each year from 2027 to 2029 and €8 million for 2030. The contribution is granted within the limits of available funds.
